This bundle brings together the Heartwood tarot deck and its matching divination coin, created by Stephanie Burrows and illustrated by Adam Oehlers.
 
Designed to work beautifully together, this set offers a gentle, woodland-inspired approach to tarot and intuitive decision-making.
 
HEARTWOOD TAROT DECK
 
DECK SIZE: Heartwood (Volume 5) consists of 78 tarot cards (22 Majors and 56 Minors), an alternative Lovers card and alternative Devil card, and double-sided companion reference sheets with keywords. Two blank cards protect the deck. Additionally, the deck includes five extra art cards in keeping with the theme of Heartwood. These five art cards are exclusive to the first printing only.
 
CARD SIZE: The cards measure 70mm x 120mm (approximately 2.75 x 4.73 inches). The cards are borderless with rounded corners. 
 
CARD BACKS: While the backs aren't reversible, this doesn't mean that you can't read using reversals. We encourage you to use this deck in whatever way suits you best.
 
CARD STOCK: The cards are printed on eco-friendly 400gsm FSC-accredited, carbon-balanced paper, using vegetable-based inks, and are protected with a matte, anti-scuff laminate.
 
BOX: The cards are housed in an orange 350gsm tuck-flap box with an easy-to-open lid and a glued base, finished with a letterpress woodland design printed in copper-coloured, vegetable-based ink.
 
Each copy of Heartwood (Volume 5) includes a uniquely numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
 
Since we want to keep Heartwood as eco-friendly as possible, no physical guidebook accompanies this tarot deck, and there are no plans for one. Instead, we include double-sided companion reference sheets featuring thoughtfully chosen keywords that depict the nature of each card, allowing the deck to be read intuitively.
 
An accompanying black-and-white PDF guidebook will be emailed automatically upon purchase.
 
THE MAJOR ARCANA
 
The imagery explores the 22 Major Arcana archetypes, with a tiny mouse appearing throughout as the Fool, moving from card to card as the deck unfolds.
 
THE MINOR ARCANA
 
Although Heartwood is a mouse-heavy deck, our Fool doesn’t appear on every Minor Arcana card. Instead, they make an appearance on three to four cards within each suit.
 
The Minor Arcana focuses on the various creatures encountered throughout the Fool’s journey within the cottage, including a charming mix of foxes, owls, frogs, rabbits, squirrels, snails, sparrows, and more. There’s even a tiny shrew as the Page of Pentacles (our first-ever shrew, and impossibly cute)!
 
Unlike our other tarot decks, Heartwood doesn’t assign a single animal to each suit, and the suits aren’t explicitly elemental. Instead, each suit is built around the feeling and atmosphere of the cards themselves.

Additionally, the Cups suit features vessels of many shapes and sizes... alongside cups, you’ll also find colanders, bowls, platters, and bottles.
 
HEARTWOOD DIVINATION COIN
 
You’ll also receive one double-sided divination coin in a Heartwood theme.
 
One side features our Fool (a sleeping mouse enjoying a peaceful slumber) while the reverse shows our fearless Knight of Swords, bravely holding their tiny sword as they prepare to venture into a mysterious winter landscape.
 
This coin is cast in brass with an antique brass-effect finish and measures 38mm in diameter (approximately 1.5 inches). It comes presented in a sturdy box and includes an informational guide card with suggested instructions.
 
This divination coin makes a thoughtful addition to your practice. It can be used to clarify a reading, help with decision-making, or simply carried with you as a small, pocket-sized companion.
 
HOW TO USE
 
Hold the coin in your hand, close your eyes, and focus on your question. When you feel ready, toss the coin into the air.
 
Resting mouse facing up may suggest NO, WAIT, or AVOID, or point to something improbable or unlikely.
 
Alert mouse facing up may suggest YES, PROCEED, or ENGAGE, or point to something possible or imaginable.
